Beware the backyard breeder an puppy-miller where puppies are only bred with the goal of producing a quantity of puppies for the pet market. Genetic problems can appear well after the "happy, healthy puppy stage", and the initial vet inspection. This can cause a lot of heartache and cost a lot of money! There are many stories of sick puppies from backyard breeders. The safest place to make sure your puppy comes from is a reputable breeder!
